Navigating OCD Meetup Day!

from £15.00

When: Tuesday 17th February 2026
Time: 11:00am – 3:30pm
Price: £22.50 per ticket (includes food)

Venue: Sanzibar, 49 Dudley Street, Sedgley, Dudley, DY3 1SA

This is a relaxed, supportive OCD meetup designed to help you feel less alone, more understood, and get to meet other people with OCD and on the recovery journey.

The day will be a mix of OCD education, creative expression, connection, and fun, in a welcoming, no-pressure environment.

What to expect on the day

You can expect a blend of:

  • Gentle OCD education and awareness

  • Creative, expressive activities (think painting, drawing, collages and collaborative art)

  • Opportunities to meet and chat with others who truly get OCD

  • Shared experiences around OCD and recovery

  • Optional, recovery-focused activities woven throughout the day

  • A calm, supportive space where there is no pressure to talk or share

You are welcome to join in as much or as little as you like. Some people will chat, some will create, some will simply sit and take it all in — all of it is completely okay.

For many people, just showing up is an exposure in itself.

Food & drinks

  • Lunch will be provided as a buffet, with vegetarian options included

  • If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, please email:
    navigatingocd@gmail.com

  • Tea, coffee, water, and a range of other drinks will be available to purchase at the venue

  • Please do not bring your own drinks, as drinks must be purchased on site to help support the venue which is a local small business.

Who can attend?

  • Adults and young people living with OCD (any theme, any stage of recovery)

  • You do not need to be “good at recovery” or have things figured out

  • If you wish to bring a friend or family member along who does not have OCD, that is no problem at all, but they must purchase a ticket also. However, please only bring 1 additional person, as we only have a capacity for 30 people and it leaves more availability for other attendees.

  • Under 16s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult

    • The accompanying adult does not need to purchase an additional ticket

    • Please just purchase an Under 16s ticket

Getting there

Nearest train station:

  • Coseley Station (approx. 10–15 minutes by car or taxi). Local taxi numbers will be shared via email the week of the event, to help you plan your transport.

Parking:

  • There is limited parking at the venue, but a paid car park within Sedgley Town Centre (around a 3 minute walk from the venue)

  • Please allow a little extra time to park and arrive calmly

  • Car Park details will be shared via email the week of the event, to help you plan your journey.

A few important things to know

  • This is a supportive, part educational, part fun meet up.

  • There is no pressure to talk about your OCD if you wish not to.

  • Reassurance-seeking will be gently discouraged to keep the space recovery-focused

  • You are free to step outside, take breaks, or opt out of activities at any time

  • There are limited tickets (30 capacity)

  • You do not need to print off confirmation, we will have names of all those who have purchased tickets on the door.

Why come along?

Living with OCD can be incredibly isolating. This day is about connection, understanding, and reminding yourself that you are not alone in this.

Whether you come for the education, the creativity, the people, or simply to prove to yourself that you can do hard things - you are welcome!
